Privacy policy

What Jinendra Vani (the website jinendravani.com and its Android app) takes from you, why, and where it is kept. Last changed: 25 October 2026

No account, no sign-in

Listening, reading and everything else work without an account, a name or a phone number. The Android app asks for no special permission (no location or GPS, contacts, camera, microphone or files), only the internet. There are no ads, and your information is never sold or given to anyone.

Kept on your phone

Settings, your Yatra Passport darshans and how far you have read in a granth stay in your phone (the browser’s storage), as do the site’s files for use without internet. They never reach us, and clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it removes them.

Counted without names

  • How often each bhajan is played, and how many people visited today (each device counted once a day): numbers only.
  • A like is saved with a random key made on your device, so you can take it back; never with your name.
  • How many people are listening right now, and roughly which city they are in: the city is Cloudflare’s estimate from your internet (IP) address, never GPS, and we don’t keep the IP address. Your “right now” entry goes when you leave; daily counts per city (numbers only) stay. Only the site’s owners can see this.

When you send us a message

A message sent with the feedback form (“अपनी बात हमसे कहें”) brings us your message, your name and, if you give it, your email, along with the time and your approximate city, PIN code and internet provider (from the internet address, not GPS). Only we can read them, and we use them only to reply and to improve the site.

Security

Everything travels over secure (HTTPS) connections. Cloudflare Turnstile checks, unseen, that a visitor is a person and not a bot. The database rules let nobody read anyone else’s information.

Services we use

The site runs on Cloudflare (pages, bhajans, the bot check); counts, likes and messages are kept in a Google Firebase database; the fonts come from Google Fonts. Like every website, these services see your device’s internet address and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Children

Jinendra Vani is for all ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children; children should ask a parent before writing their name or email in the feedback form.

Deleting your information

To have a message you sent deleted, ask us through the form; we keep messages only as long as needed and delete them on request. Tap a like again to take it back. What is kept on your phone goes when you clear the app’s data or uninstall it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Questions: write through the feedback form or to the email on the app’s Google Play page.
